Dear WPAA member:
We are writing to you to ask for your financial support for the Worldwide
Pantnagar Alumni Association (WPAA).
Over the last 5 years, WPAA has grown from a small community with a handful
of members to a worldwide organization with more than 1400 members. WPAA has
now 20 chapters in 7 countries and a number of new chapters are being
planned.
During this period, the WPAA website has become an important resource for
alumni. This website is the place for alumni to post job openings in their
organizations; the place alumni provide advice on career advancement and
higher education; the place where you go to get contact information for your
friends and other alumni; the place where you get news about your alma
mater.
WPAA has also been active in developing programs that will help the
university. An important step in this direction was a donation of US$3000 to
the Department of Computer Engineering. Additional new initiatives are being
planned.
Financial resources are critical for continuing the existing services (e.g.,
the WPAA website) and for planning new initiatives. WPAA is supported solely
by contributions from its members. We believe that WPAA is a vital resource
for all alumni; but it can continue only if we have solid financial support
from the members.
We thank the members who have already paid their membership dues and made
other contributions. We urge others to help us in securing financial
stability for WPAA.
