...But vanity domains are normally virtualhosts, which already work. I think it is counter-intuitive to have:
Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and then have the web interface be at: http://some.other.domain/some other folder/list
Normally they may be virtual hosts, but not *always*. I know I host some lists for people whose web domains aren't hosted on the same machine. I gather paying to host lists can be quite a bit more expensive than web hosting, so I imagine a number of people host lists on DSL and such while their websites are hosted somewhere more stable. While it's quite reasonable to set up redirects and such, if you're going for lower-cost web hosting, you may not have the option to do so.
Anyhow, for all that making newlist have some extra options *isn't* necessary, it seems like it'll make it that much more useful, so we might as well just do it. It's not like anyone has to use the extra options if they don't want to, and the whole thing can be backwards compatible.
