Jack Jansen sent the following message to me, but I will not be able to
attend. I still think it would be a great idea though, and Jack said it
would be okay to forward this message to this mailing list to see if
anybody else would be willing to sign up for giving a Mailman tutorial
at this conference.

Time is short though -- the deadline is (officially) January 31st. If
you think you'd be able to give this tutorial, please let Jack know (and
CC me).

Thanks!
-Barry

--- Begin Message --- Barry,
I happen to be a board member of the NLUUG, the dutch Unix user group (www.nluug.nl), and our spring conference (May 26) has the topic "email and beyond". This is a one-day conference, usually with 2 or three parallel tracks, 300-500 attendees. Languages are dutch and english.

For this conference we're thinking of doing one tutorial track, aimed at mail admins. One of the topics we were thinking of was mailman. Would you potentially be interested in doing such a tutorial? Note that for now I'm only asking whether you might be interested, I'm not on the program committee for this conference, so I'll just pass the information on to the PC.

Exact duration of tutorials hasn't been decided on yet, but it's probably going to be a double slot (90 minutes). We generally don't pay tutors (or people presenting regular talks), but we do reimburse travel expenses and lodging.

If you're not interested yourself, do you have any suggestions for other people who might be able to give such a tutorial? And, additionally, do you think such a tutorial would be worthwhile, or is mailman so simple that it doesn't really merit one? And, finally, spambayes is of course an other potential topic, but I get the impression (don't use it myself, blush:-) that it's more client-oriented than server-oriented, right?
