I did get a chance to watch this over the course of the evening. It
was hard to hear the questions in the audience until the end, but
there was some good information in the talk. I think this is the
first time I've actually seen any kind of comparison of Mailman's use
vs. the other list servers out there. Nice! I also smiled when Joost
got the question about the "little bit of C" in Mailman.
I think this is interesting work for Mailman and I'd like to find a
way to help port it to 3.0. I really think it's more appropriate as a
plugin rather than in the core, and if Joost et al are interested in
exploring this, it will spur me to work out a plugin API that will
work for you. I've been thinking a lot about this lately, especially
w.r.t. the MIME cleaning stuff but the PGP/SMIME support might make a
more interesting test case.
