I am in the process of transferring an old mailing list to Mailman. It used
Hypermail for archiving, and I would like to continue using it both in order
to maintain some of the old message URLs and because there were quite a few
HTML and MIME messages, which Pipermail can't handle. However, I am also
setting up some new lists, and would like to use the the standard Pipermail
archives for those.

If I understand the comments in Defaults.py, it is possible to set
PUBLIC_EXTERNAL_ARCHIVER and PRIVATE_EXTERNAL_ARCHIVER to a shell command
that triggers Hypermail, but there doesn't seem to be a way to specify
different options for different lists. I also couldn't see any relevant
options in the list administration pages.

Is there a standard way to use internal and external archiving on different
lists? I apologize if this was in the FAQ, but the archive questions seemed
to address different issues.

We are running version 2.0.11

Thanks
