we have a customer that doesn't want subscribers to think that they're on a list. They want to do this because they think it'll be more personal. *shrugs*
Basically, you don't. If they really insist on this kind of behaviour, have them send the message once for each recipient, direct from their mail client to the recipient.

I have two questions; 1. is it possible to make the To: field have the recepient address?
Not within Mailman, so far as I know.
2. is there a way to get rid of the "by way of" in the To: field?
That's caused by the way that M$ Outhouse mis-interprets certain headers.
