Hi folks I was wondering? Does mailman and sendmail have to run as the same user? I am working on a yellowdog 3 system trying to get mailman to work and im stuck on one spot the errors i keep getting are this messages sent to the list are bouncing at the mailserver (sendmail 8.12.8) lists creation works ok and initial email subscribe (outbound mail) works ok web interface works ok a look at /var/log/maillog logs shows this: Mailman mail-wrapper: Group mismatch error. Mailman expected the mail wrapper script to be executed as one of the following groups: [mail, nobody, mailman], but the system's mail erver executed the mail script as group: "mailnull". Try tweaking the mail server to run the script as one of these groups: [mail, nobody, mailman], or re-run configure providing the command line option: '--with-mail-gid=mailnull'. We are running Mailman version 2.1.1 Any help is appreciated Matthew S Barnes (FTC/SS/DV) Network Administrator Institute for Child Health Policy Health Policy and Epidemiology 5700 S.W. 34th Street Suite 139 Gainesville FL 32608 Phone: (352)392-7745 (352)226-0955 (after hours) Fax :(352) 265-7221 [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://help.ichp.ufl.edu/> ------------------------------------------------------ Mailman-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/
