Of course I could create a third list "hockeyboth" but this would not be

You could create an umbrella list, and/or use the patch by Jim Tittsler that has recently been mentioned.

In the adminpanel I have the field "accept_these_nonmembers". Could I set
some kind of wildcard there? What would I have to write? Something like
 ^*?

This sort of thing is also an option, and I think Mark has explained the syntax.

However, I'm curious as to whether or not you've considered making the lists open to posts from non-members? That would allow what you want without requiring any patches or regular expressions. Of course, it would increase the amount of spam that might get through to the list, but then intelligent spammers could always monitor the output from the list and then spoof one of the subscribed addresses.

        Just a thought.
