In general, any time you are having problems with Mailman, it's a good idea to go to the Mailman FAQ Wizard at <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py> and search for key words relating to your problems. You can also see the entire index of all FAQ entries at <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=index>, and I would encourage you to read through each and every one of these items.
Even if you don't remember every aspect of every FAQ entry, hopefully some things will stick in the back of your mind and if you have a problem in the future, you'll have a better chance of remembering where in the FAQ this question was answered.
You should also search the archives of the mailman-users mailing list, according to the instructions at <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq01.018.htp>.
