I'm a subscriber to many mailing lists that use the Mailman software and wondered if there was a complementary program for searching archives produced by Mailman?
Created by this project? No.
If not on the server side, perhaps a small program that searched locally after downloading the archive files? Just wanted to check before I start writing something. Thanks.
We have to support over thirty different OSes. It would not be practical for us to try to create searching programs to support all those OSes. Feel free to use grep or some other standard searching tool on your local machine for archives that you have downloaded.
If you wish to integrate a searching tool into your archives, you can follow the example at <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq01.011.htp>.
