Hi all,

I have a few problems whitelisting mailman addresses that have to
contain wildcards (like -bounces+<something>) in my exim system. This
got me wondering, at what point these are adresses actually needed? I
always thought they'd be used for confirmation when subscribing but
those come from -request and have the confirmation code in the subject.

So, in what cases are these kinds of sender addresses used?

Regards,
Meike
