Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes there are two different ways to provide the same information -- via a field in the admin web interface, or via a template. If the field in the admin web interface has anything at all in it (even just a single space character), I believe that will over-ride the contents of the template. I'm not sure if this is the case for the verify.txt template, I'd have to check the code.
