In addition to Mailman, you would need a Mail Transport Agent (MTA) and if you want a web interface for managing your lists, a web server. All this is not too difficult on a Unix like computer or Mac OS X. It can be done on Windows, but it requires additional software (Cygwin), and is not particularly secure. It is best to have a full time internet connection with a fixed IP address and a domain name. Otherwise many recipient servers won't accept your mail. This is a project that requires a fair degree of computer 'savvy'. It is not a simple 'run the installer and you're done' installation. It also opens your computer to various access from the internet which may be undesirable. >Is there a better solution available? See <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq01.017.htp> for references to lists of organizations that offer Mailman hosting. There are services that are free or low cost for non-profits. -- Mark Sapiro <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The highway is for gamblers, San Francisco Bay Area, California better use your sense - B.
