I have no problem with a Mailman 2.1.5 installation in RedHat FC2 with either firefox 1.5.0.8 or 1.5.0.9. I am able to visit <https://www.cs.appstate.edu/mailman/admin/mailman> with firefox 1.5.0.9 and I get an "unable to verify certificate for unknown reasons", but when I accept the certificate I see the "Administrator Authentication" page and no crash, but this identifies itself as a Mailman 2.1.9 installation, so maybe it isn't the one you're talking about.
