Is the user removed from the list?

What is in the list's General Options->goodbye_msg and the
send_goodbye_msg flag?

What is the setting for the list's Privacy options...->Subscription
rules->subscribe_policy?

Does this generate a pending request in adminbd?

Is there anything in Mailman's 'vette' or 'subscribe' logs?
