Assuming Mailman is 'standard', it is delivering to sendmail via SMTP and it is sendmail that is queueing the message. This is some sendmail configuration issue. Are you running MailScanner or some other addons that might be scanning and requeuing messages. Have you looked in your sendmail maillog for clues?
