I considered that, but didn't actually try it because:

- I didn't have all that many mails to import

- I thought mailman might be unhappy at being asked to process a bunch
  of e-mails that didn't have list headers

Can you confirm that arch will definitely handle an outside mbox
without issue? If so, that's good to know.
