I'm not sure why you decided to add Django as a dependency of Mailman but it is a losey idea to add an additional entire operational development platform in order to just get a mailing list up and running.
It is bad enough that the mailman python modules are constantly pinning the CPUs of my systems, but adding Django not only means having to completely rework my apache server configuration, which is strangely enough is not running for the sole purpose of being used as an adjunct to the mail list, but to force feeds an unwanted enormous security hole since it is a development platform which is exposed to the public. -- So many immigrant groups have swept through our town that Brooklyn, like Atlantis, reaches mythological proportions in the mind of the world - RI Safir 1998 http://www.mrbrklyn.com ------------------------------------------------------ Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://wiki.list.org/x/AgA3 Security Policy: http://wiki.list.org/x/QIA9 Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org
