..... thinking out loud.... We usually send an email to mailman (which includes the pre-defined password) for each subscription and use the 'confirm' option in mailman so the user gets a confirming email and I know their password.
But, would it work to reset the list to 'approve', send the email command, and then 'approve all'? Sure, that would be two steps, but if they are two steps that can act upon the entire subset of new subscribers, that would be a lot fewer steps than changing 900+ passwords individually. -- Drew ------------------------------------------------------ Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://wiki.list.org/x/AgA3 Security Policy: http://wiki.list.org/x/QIA9 Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org
