Some sites refuse to send bounces on those because it could be a spammer probing for valid addresses. That's quite unusual as far as I know. It could be one of those sites that sends garbage bounces that are not recognized by Mailman, in which case it should be sent to the list owner or the site admin list mail...@list.example.com. Have you checked those mailboxes? Other than that, not sure.
