Good day,

Hi,

Looking for a solution to have about 50-200 lists for subscribers. Any good examples of mailman being used for 50+ lists you can share for me to see? Trying to see the feasibility of implementing a solution in next 90 days.

I don't think the number of lists is as important as the number of subscribers on each list.

I have seen many installations of Mailman (v2.x) that have had lots of lists.

I believe some of the Mailman lists that I'm subscribed to have hundreds of subscribers.

Would like to see a working one, where a user would go to a site, and pick a list to subscribe.

Sorry, I don't know of anything off hand.

Is mailman easy to setup and maintain?

I've found that Mailman 2.x is quite easy to set up and maintain. Though, I don't think Mailman 2.x is good for a greenfield deployment. I don't have any experience with Mailman 3.x. Though I have heard that 3.x has different requirements than 2.x, some of them non-trivial.

Windows or Linux server recommended?

My vote is for Linux (or another Unix varient).

Thank you.

You're welcome.
