What I meant by bells and whistles is the fancy icons or interface like
a messenger. What I like most about MailMate is its clean interface and
it is highly customizable.

Honestly, I find the request to be a bit self-contradictory. As a
product, MailMate actually has a lot of bells and whistles. Do you
want something like MailMate, or do you want something without bells
and whistles? What features of MailMate are important for your work?
