This isn't unlike what I used to do, with Mail archiving stuff offline. One day I moved a load of 'sent' mails from several years before into an archive (about 18 months' worth) - simply moving them from one folder to another - and Mail *re-sent them all*. Cue many confused colleagues.

So I just use Mailmate now;) and I don't mess with Sent folders.

(I digress...)

Jason

Jason,

Oh well. Good to send the info anyway. Good luck. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance.

FWIW, my set up in MM is to use it on the machine I use for correspondence and use Mail on my workhorse/backup server (MacMini M1 2020). Use Mail with SpamSieve running 24x7 to filter all my accounts, including one no appearing on the day-to-day MBP 2019 laptop.

I have not seen any replication of your issue since I have only one appearance of MM. Perhaps Benny has some ideas.

My build of MM is the latest Test Build 1.14(r5895) running on the MBP2019 15,1 running MacOS 12.3.1.

Thanks. Unfortunately it's not that simple as the MBA only has two of five accounts set up - the Mac Mini is my main workhorse.

I've submitted a ticket (I think - it immediately said it was marked as spam so I'm going to give it a few minutes to see if it shows up in the tracker nonetheless!)

Cheers,
Jason

Jason,

Good info. Don’t know if you are aware that MM settings can be duplicated specifically for duplicating your machine installations. Info in the MM’s Help (Help Menu>MailMate Help>Rebuild Database) pages.

If you choose to reinstall the settings that work to the MacMini (where settings apparently don’t), follow the instructions there. I did this on my MacMini and found this very useful.

So there is clearly something not right on the Mac Mini set up - I'll email Benny.

Thanks for the reality checks Henry and Alain (though it seems not to be Preside this time)._______________________________________________
