In r5998 on my MBP2021 M1Pto with OS 14.1.1, the “Sent” mail sound
(“Woosh”) works for me when sending this message…

So it's not like there cannot be ANY sounds coming from MailMate. They
play fine in the preference panes. But they don't play (or are
silenced) while using MailMate.
I have reproduced this with both r5937 and the latest, r5998. I don't
know what else to try. Sounds play fine elsewhere in macOS, through
the appropriate channels (general sound output for general sounds and
specific sound output for sound effects).
Anyone have any suggestions?
