Would someone point me to information about how to specify which
headers automatically appear at the top of received messages?
MailMate Help describes compact mode and extended mode, but doesn’t
say how to switch between them, nor how to specify that a certain
header should always appear if present.
I believe this is something Benny broke somewhere around r5900 with a
rework of message rendering. There's a "Show headers" command in the
Format menu but it is always dimmed.
There's a file at
/Applications/MailMate.app/Contents//Resources/Layouts/headersFormatting.plist
which seems to control the reading pane headers, but the details of its
use and grammar are not documented. You MAY be able to override that
with a file of the same name in ~/Library/Application
Support/MailMate/Resources/Layouts/ but that is only true if that
original .plist is still used and is overridable. Some years ago I tried
using that and never quite figured out the right incantations.
