But with a search for: python email duplicates I see there is a library imapdedupes. But I never used it. But since your problem is a one time shot it would be a temporary solution to run this script. You should use the dry run feature so you can check if it is working. And setup a test folder like describes in the readme Also instead tagging it for deletion you can use a custom tag to mark your duplicates. Or to be more comfortable you can write your own imap duplicate search with your criterias with the help of the source code in GitHub.
