Hi Robert,

Firstly, the current “Beta” version is 6255 and follow-on Test Build latest is
r6266. Scanning the changes in subsequent versions to yours (which is dated
9/3/2020, BTW), don’t see changes to icons, but may have missed something due
to its age. There have been a lot of updates since, including at least two Beta
releases of V2.0.

Your release is still listed as the last full Release Build of 1.13 according
to the Menu. Later releases including the 2.0 in Beta version have appeared in
the interim. Believe the MM Version 2.0 Beta (r6067) appeared in 12/23/2024.
Benny would be most knowledgeable on that. I have enjoyed the use of the
current Test build and don’t find the icons too small at my desktop screen
resolution of 2560x1440p(Default). I can well understand your concerns, though.

Benny, the principal developer, is categorizing MM Beta Builds differently from
Test Builds and differently from Version releases. I would recommend you try at
least a later beta version, compared to yours to confirm.

To my knowledge there has been no official release of version 2.0 to date (all
are described as Betas and Test Builds so far).

That said, both the icons in the toolbar and the flag icons display sizes (also
may) depend on the resolution of your screen (increased numbers of pixels
reduce the relative size of icons and text in the message window). Text is
easily adjusted but icons, not. They follow the overall resolution screen
display, that is a MacOS, System Settings>Display adjustment. There is a small
adjustment of the Mac MenuBar on top of that.

I do not know of any GUI adjustments within MM that may affect the menubar and
icons alone. Some others here may have additional insight on this part. Hope
this helps explain some of the progress of the app. Good luck!

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden
