I have the same question. It seems like MailMate should remember the
state of this when restarting, but I always have to click `Hide` every
time it restarts.
Also, I have to switch to my preferred layout (`Widescreen`) every time
it restarts.
MailMate should remember and retain the state of these views when
restarting. :-\
