I’ll gladly confirm that r6292 fixed some connection issues we
experienced with 6290 & 6291 and our environment (mailserver & number of
accounts).

PS: we normally use the latest downloadable version and seldom had to
revert to a previous release.
If we discover “issues” we try to reproduce them and provide
feedback to Benny. We see it as our humble contribution to a superb
mail-app & the MM community.

Simply because Benny hasn't decided to release them for testing. You
can always download the latest builds directly but the general advice
is not to do this.
