If the traffic is Transactional, by all means open a ticket and push it. It is
always the best plan to keep Transactional traffic strictly separate from all
other traffic, and if there are issues, point the nature of said traffic out in
follow-up emails, as once validated, it will factor in the mitigation decision.

Sometimes, what scales and what doesn't are not obvious. But the comment on
German law in particular is interesting, and ... Will not go un-noticed.

I am not a fan of Silent Drop, and continue to push for some other
infrastructure and user friendly solution, but so far... It's a hard sell for
many reasons.

It's a hard sell because your users blame me when they don't get a receipt,
they don't blame you. If you could publish some sort of a "Yes, we drop your
mail and won't tell the sender or recipient why" article, it would give senders
a chance to point receivers toward it so that receivers could understand that
the fault really is on their side of the line.

Either way, yes, your candor is greatly appreciated!
