From past discussion this seems to be SPF related, however as a smarthost for an ISP in the UK we send email from lots of different domains - the majority of which are owned by our customers. This makes it difficult to mandate SPF records on the domains we send from.
I have some doubts they reject domains without SPF records, that would reject a massive amount of legitimate emails while for a spammer, it's easy to setup a permissive SPF.
