Hi, I've got the same issues with online, and similar ones with OVH and cloudstar.is (now seems to be xemu.eu).
I don't think any of the cases has got ever resolved, so some time ago, I started filtering them for some weeks. I reset the filters periodically and reissue them if I start getting spam or other abuse cases (intrusion attempts, trying to use our SIP servers, etc.). I usually don't bother, but they have a customer who pumps out large numbers of copies of the same two emails; one is for internet gambling, the other a bitcoin scam. It turns out that their ab...@online.net address is simply an auto-responder that says you absolutely have to register complaints at https://abuse.online.net/ (which is really https://console.scaleway.com/support/abuses/create). When you do that, they simply create an abuse ticket that they turn over to whoever is their customer for the IP address involved. I created a few tickets, and gave them complete headers of the spam emails in question - and of course, these were all closed by the spammers themselves, with the hilarious message "We were unable to determine the culprit for the given ip / time range." Anyone know something about these scaleway.com morons? Should one firewall their entire network ranges out completely, or just make sure one doesn't accept any SMTP connections from those ranges? -tih -- Most people who graduate with CS degrees don't understand the significance of Lisp.
