Hello,

do others see spam waves from cloudapp.azure.com, too?

So, after 9 weeks, despite several abuse reports to the appropriate places,
this still continues (and not a single
response indicating they understand that they've got a spam problem here).

Do I attribute that to malice or incompetence on Microsoft's side? Both seems
equally plausible.

Cheers,

Microsoft should really reach out to 3rd parties to help them address outbound issues, to those of us seeing it on the front lines..

But yeah, it's ugly on Azure right now..

But it has been a bad year overall for the "too big to block" operators behavior..

* 10 months in, SendGrid phishing is still a thing.
* Azure Spam sources
* Hackers on Amazon
* Gmail sharepoint/contact form spammers
  - for every 10,000 mailboxes, app 500/day

And then of course the Digital Ocean, OVH, Heficid spammers et al.

And then all the Emotet and others leaking from compromised accounts

Spam auditors are really earning their keep this year..

A shout to any one on the front lines..

Might have to blog about it, but at the value of an IP address, and the cost to 'clean' an IP address after it has gone dirty, the economics of allowing bad actors on your networks, does not make financial sense, but not sure when that will dawn on those network operators that don't address the issue.
