Just so it's clear, this is unrelated to simple or relaxed canonicalization. The problem happens with "relaxed/relaxed" as well, because even "relaxed" does not ignore CRLF at the end of lines in the same way that it collapses other whitespace.

In other words, even under "relaxed" canonicalization, the DKIM body hash is different for "1234" vs. "12<CRLF>34", and this problem will happen if a CRLF is added to split line lengths that are > 998 bytes.
