There was a lengthy discussion about onmicrosoft.com some weeks ago on this list. When looking at our mail flow the vast majority of all messages with a return path that ends in .onmicrosoft.com look legitimate. This isn't surprising, as most people who outsource something to a SaaS probably do not want to spend more time than necessary with configuring and other than that just use the defaults. And the default is .onmicrosoft.com. I'd check the logs before blocking those domains.
