If these invites do not automatically add events to your calendar, then you don't have the problem described in the message you are responding to. If they do, then whatever software is handling your calendar, should have a similar setting. The message was not about filtering spam invites, it was *only* about preventing them (when they reach your inbox) from being automatically added to your calendar.
