Mailplane doesn't offer such a feature. However, you can turn on
"background" account notifications: Mailplane will show Growl notifications
when you other accounts receive emails.

You can also define different new email sound for each account:

Now you can switch to the new account:

   - View > Open Account Drawer. Then double click the new account
   - Mailplane > Switch to Account
   - Click the menu bar icon and choose the account from the menu
