Yes, Google Apps accounts are fully supported. There is one exception though: If you university has a custom authentication scheme, then Mailplane can't ask Google to verify the user name and password. However, there is a workaround you may want to try:
You need the 2.1-beta for this work: http://mailplaneapp.com/download/beta Limitation: There is no automatic sign-in for the accounts listed in SAMLAccounts. Open Terminal and enter this one line and press ENTER defaults write com.mailplaneapp.Mailplane SAMLAccounts " [email protected]" If you have more than account to set, separate them with a comma: defaults write com.mailplaneapp.Mailplane SAMLAccounts "[email protected], [email protected]" Hope this helps. 2009/9/22 Kinny Cheng <[email protected]> > If it's a Google Apps account, then it should work in just the same way - > as I'm using two other personal domains with the Gmail service. > > Correct me if I'm wrong here, anyone :) > ------Original Message------ > From: Luke > Sender: [email protected] > To: mailplaneapp > ReplyTo: [email protected] > Subject: [mailplaneapp] mailplane and Gmail for Education > Sent: 22 Sep 2009 13:09 > > > Any suggestions as to how mailplane can work with my university's > gmail-based email account?
