Hi folks... I've started to have very regular problems with Offline Gmail in Mailplane apparently losing its connection to the server. I saw the Known Issue that looked related and have disabled the Labs feature of Send & Archive, but I still encounter the problem.
It is most noticeable when I edit a draft, for example: (1) open Mailplane (2) click Drafts (3) open a Draft message to edit (4) type a bit, then hit Save Draft (5) type a bit more... At this point my connection to the Gmail server appears to get lost. The next time I try to hit Save or if Gmail's AutoSave kicks in, or if I try to hit send, the operation never completes (so changes aren't saved to Gmail server and mail isn't sent). This is very frustrating because I have to then copy the mail contents to the clipboard so the content isn't lost. If I do Mailplane > Reset Gmail Session... or close & restart Mailplane, then everything is okay briefly but following the instructions again causes the problem to happen again. If I go to Gmail's Settings > Offline and disable Offline Gmail then the steps above work okay without a problem. Any suggestions? Environment: Mac OS X 10.6, Mailplane 2.1.4, Gears 0.5.33.0 Thanks, -- Tom -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mailplaneapp" group.
