Hi Daniel,

I am glad it's working again.
Google seems to be working on "Offline Gmail" for HTML5:
http://mailplaneapp.com/blog/entry/offline_gmail_bye_bye_google_gears_hello_html5/
A good example is Gmail on the iPhone/iPod touch: It support "Offline Gmail"
out of the box:
http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/google_goes_html5_demoes_expermental_gmail.php

Keep in mind that Offline Gmail isn't currently supported by Google on Snow
Leopard/Safari/Mailplane: Google has decided to abandon Google Gears and to
work on a HTML5 Gmail version. This is great news, as Mailplane/Safari
support HTML5 out of the box. Meanwhile, we are stuck with the Gears
workaround, which isn't perfect.

In short: If you can live without it - wait for the HTML5 offline version.

In case you need Offline Gmail today, try to re-create your offline cache:
- Install the latest Google Gears version: (
http://mailplaneapp.com/howto/entry/enable_offline_gmail/ )
- Close Mailplane
- go to *HOME/Library/Application Support/Google*
- move *Google Gears for Safari* to the Trash
- Restart Mailplane
- Reenable Gmail Offline and re-download your messages

Hope this helps.
