#1:I haven't tried, it but I guess #1 could be solved with a custom css (see
Preferences > Tweak UI > Custom stylesheet):
Some rule like this should keep the size of the image constraint:
img {
max-width: 100%;
height: auto;
}
#2:
It works for attachments as Gmail provides a ZIP file containing all images.
But I know no solution for inline images.
