The behavior I was seeing was that actions taken on the client weren't being sent to the Gmail servers. If I opened a unread message and archived it, I'd return to the Inbox, and the message wouldn't be there initially, but then if I refreshed the Inbox, the message would return and be unread again. I also had the same problem Jeremy described with drafts -- I could open a new compose window, write a message, but trying to Save Draft or Send the message would fail. This only affected one of the accounts I have in Mailplane. But unlike Jeremy, the problematic one was my work Google Apps account, and my personal normal @gmail account worked fine in Mailplane. And that same problematic account worked just fine in Safari and Firefox. Following Ruben's directions fixed the problem. I don't know if this was related to the recent Safari update or to my recent upgrade to Lion. The timing is close but not right on... I upgraded to Lion last Friday and this Mailplane problem only started on Tuesday. Ruben, let me know with a DM if you want any more info to help debug. Viva Mailplane!
