As an FYI, the problem is still there, tried Safari in Gmail and even downloaded and set up Sparrow and tried it, both can stay on for 24 hours straight with no problems, but after about 3 hours of back ground work MailPlane just hangs and gives me the cannot connect to the account, retrying in 60 seconds error.
