This is a Gmail question, not a Mailplane question. But there are a lot of
smart Gmail people here.

I redirect work email to my Gmail account, where I have two separate
identities. The other day I deleted my work identity because — oh, I forget
why — and then tried to re-create it. Turns out that Gmail now seems to
demand that I use my workplace's SMTP server, which most of the time (but
not every time) bounces the emails I try to send. It used to be that by
default you could use Gmail's SMTP server with any identity you chose, but
now that's not even an option. Or is it? Any way I can do that?

When I use Postbox, I *can* use the Gmail SMTP server. But Postbox drives
me crazy because it's so slow.

Thanks!
