Short Description: The Messaging Specialist is the expert for the development, enhancement and implementation of the existing messaging environment and set of products. Primary responsibility is to ensure availability and facilitate productive use. Complete Description: N-Tier Environment, AD and Exchange Assist in enchancing the configuration of the agency multi-forest Active Directory and Exchange environment into the N-Tier Enterprise environment. Assist in migrating to Exchange 2003, transition to Exchange 2007. Assist in integrating the Exchange environment into the agency Portal and web applications. Assist in planning and implementing access methods into the Exchange environment (mobile, web and desktop). Assist in planning and implmenting the new Blackberry environment into Exchange. Assist in planning and implementing other software products into the Exchange environment. Assist in applying access controls and other security safeguards into the N-Tier Enterprise environment. Configure and install Application URLs, and test application access. Assist in reviewing, planning and implementing the Backup & Disaster Recovery Environment for the Exchange and N-Tier Enterprise environment. Assist in rolling out the Exchange environment to the agency user community. Hardware and Software Assist in enhancing the configuration of new and existing hardware and software into the agency Windows 2000 and 2003 multi-forest Active Directory and Exchange environment. Configure server security (lock down) Assist in establishing a backup / restore environment for servers, directories and files. Assist in documenting the hardware and software environments. Support and maintain the hardware and software. Multi-Forest Active Directory Review, and assist in planning and implementing the new Windows 2003 Active Directory environment; and apply access controls, other security safeguards and implement management tools. Assist in creating and maintaining user and group accounts. Assist in documenting the Active Directory environment. Support and maintain the Active Directory environment.
