*Senior RF Network Engineer – Data / Voice / GPS / XPS and peripheral sensing infrastructure*
*6 months * Phoenix, AZ *Need local resources only* *Need someone ASAP* Assumes responsibility for implementing all facets of large scale, complex or "new to FMI" RF network infrastructure with minimal oversight or supervision. Engineers, configures, tests integrates, implements and upgrades large wireless voice and data network equipment, infrastructure and related services on a global basis within defined infrastructure standards and guidelines adhering to IEE standards, F.C.C. rules and regulations or appropriate respective authority for international situations. Ensures that implemented designs and network projects meet required service levels and standards in the areas of scalability, stability, reliability, performance, security, capacity, manageability, quality and cost effectiveness; with minimal impact to "real time production" and adhering to all safe practices. Provide training to respective site coordinators or front line support personnel to ensure minimal down time enhancing production and safety. Demonstrates broad expertise and global level troubleshooting expertise; identify, diagnoses and resolves complex RF network problems in a timely manner. Document all issues and send out quarterly updates/training guide lines to all sites providing technical information and maintenance tips to avoid repetitive situations Creates and maintains comprehensive "as built" documentation for all implemented wireless networks. Prepares wireless network proposals and solution presentations that address assigned business requests, projects and issues Demonstrates excellent; customer service and inter-personnel relationships skills during interactions with wireless network customer base and supplier / partner communities. Provide 24/7 on call global wireless network support as a third level SME during assigned rotations Demonstrates an understanding of RF multi path, thermal inversion and inter modulation in multiple RF environments and extreme weather conditions Demonstrates a through and practical knowledge about implementing and administrating common and complex wireless network methodologies, devices and services including AM, FM, SSB, FSK, QAM, CDMA, FDMA, multi spectral keying principles; UWB, fixed and mobile antenna selection and design, tower design, transmission cable/line selection and installation; the ability to calculate network installation power loss in DB determining ERP of all devices; an understanding of all IEE 802.11 a,b,g, n and s standards; part 15 and part 90 of FCC rules and regulations; Generally regarded as having expert level competency in most areas of wireless network infrastructure and functionality. Demonstrates a detailed and extensive working knowledge of the following test equipment; RF spectrum analysis, time domain reflectometers, optical time domain reflectometer, digital and analog power meters, RF service monitors (Tektronix, Motorola, Hewlett Packard, IR etc); Additional experience with the following technologies as they apply to mining and mine processing; RTK Global Positioning Technologies, Ground Based Satellite Technologies (Terra Lite and Pseudolites), RFID, thermal and light intensification imaging, multi and hyper spectral imaging, SATCOM, LIDAR, LADAR and RADAR. Working knowledge of common mine process applications; Modular Mining Dispatch, Jigsaw, Caterpillar CAES, Aquila, RAMP, Ardvarc, Centurion, Shovel Cam, Tooth Metrics, Trimble Survey etc. The capability to identify and capture intellectual property as necessary for appropriate team members.
