* * *Java Senior Application Architect - Developer* *Duration :6 months * *Location : New York city* As a senior Application Architect-Developer, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Web-based architecture, development, and maintenance of different type of applications. Work experience should reflect proven ability in developing and delivering successful J2EE Web-based applications and in coordinating such deployments. Architecture-Design Skills - Experience with architecting multi-tier web applications - Experience with database architecture, stored procedures, schemas, replication - Experience with network-based protocols; TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, LDAP, MIME. - Ability to write architecture, functional, and technical design documents - Experience with *J2EE* architecture and design Development - Proficient in *JAVA* and coding web-based applications - Experience with *IBM's Rational Application Developer* or Eclipse - Be adept with the *Struts* framework - Experience with writing database queries against Oracle and DB2 - Experience with *WebSphere Application Server* version 5 or above - Experience with IBM's WebSphere Portal Server, and Tivoli ITIM or ITAM is a plus Testing/Troubleshoot - Ability to effectively unit test your application code - Ability to troubleshoot applications and data - Experience authoring test case documentation Other qualifications include communications skills sufficient for working effectively with other members of the project team.
