Prevention (testing) and cure (root cause analysis) are fundamental to the continuous improvement of our technology platforms and consequently to the business bottom line. Team members are all enthusiastic and committed. The global focus brings the necessity of some extended hours working during the week and sometimes at weekends where necessary. There will be a 2rd line 24 x 7 Engineering callout for this role should a production issue require this level of analysis for resolution. Main Function Development and support of the Integration Middleware Engineering Services to Company. Specifically the Engineering of middleware technology and utilities to support middleware-based systems. Working across all asset classes to execute changes into the development and production environments as identified by business demand and requirements. This position requires ability to gather requirements from projects and perform development support and implementation duties on behalf of the applications utilizing the technology. Additional responsibilities to include technology/skills transfer to the development community. This role requires the ability to trouble-shoot BPM and Data Integration related problems as reported to the team to root-cause. Main Duties - Tibco BE and BW Middleware Engineer (Best Candidate at Best Rate) - Location: NY (Banking and Brokerage) - Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications. - Good understanding of BE Concepts, Rules and Standard functions that may impact engine performance - Assist designers in integrating TIBCO BusinessEvents with Message Oriented Middleware - Writing technical design and build documents adhering to company standards. Person Requirements - Advanced level TIBCO BE and BW skills, both design and development - Java and Object Oriented Programming background - Strong knowledge of one source control tool, preferably Perforce - Team player, strong analysis skills - Excellent problem solving skills - Ability to multitask - Good presentation skills for product demos - Strong analytical and logical skills the ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure environment. - Technical Knowledge of Communication Middleware products *Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements.
