Responsible for design and development of ETL and database business applications. Possesses detailed knowledge of software design and best practices. Possesses knowledge of system and database management concepts. Provides design recommendation based on long term IT organization strategy. Provides expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business. Assists in determining specifications for software solutions. Provides advanced programming services for a variety of specific systems and business applications. Participates at all levels in systems analysis, design definition, software development, systems test, implementation, and maintenance. Demonstrates hands-on experience with software automation (e.g. unit testing, continuous integration). Exercises independent judgment. Prepares milestones status report and presentations on system concepts. Is expert in one or more programming languages such as Informatica ETL, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and TOAD. Provide both order-of-magnitude and detailed estimates for software architecture and design activities and artifacts. Demonstrates good understanding of Agile and RUP software development methodologies. *Specific Required Knowledge / Skills* § Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience § Strong demonstrated analysis and design of quality technical ETL and DB solutions. § Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience focused in systems development and programming § Minimum of 7 years software design/development experience using Informatica ETL and database for business applications § Senior Informatica developer with ability to design, code and unit test Informatica mappings. Informatica certified developers a plus o Source to target mapping Analysis o Design the ETL application architecture based on the documented requirements. o Design and develop scalable Informatica processes. o Ensure that the ETL requirements are adequately understood and documented. o Assist in the development of the ETL Informatica application. o Perform Integration functions for all Informatica code, including ensuring that system and integration test plans are developed and executed. o Develop detailed ETL Informatica specifications based on Solution Architecture requirements. o Develop and test the ETL application following all Informatica standards and architecture. o Assist in the design of the ETL application. § Health insurance industry background in the area of Claim Processing/Adjudication is preferred.
