*Position : .Net Developer* *Location : * *New York, NY* *Duration : 6-12 Months Interview : Phone / face to face* *USC,GC Only* *Job Description:* - The candidate will have the responsibility to implement new applications, enhance existing systems, and support the application portfolio used primarily by Client's Law, Enterprise Risk Management and Public Affairs Organizations. - The current portfolio includes vendor packages, internally developed interfaces to other applications as well as internally developed Intranet - based applications. - The candidate will also be required to rewrite applications running on obsolete technologies. *Job Responsibilities:* - The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - A minimum of 5 years demonstrated work experience in application development and support is required together with experience working with object oriented programming languages and relational databases. - Candidate must have in-depth experience in business analysis, application development, and design. - The candidate must be able to multitask: handling multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting project deadlines and work independently. - *Experience or familiarity with vendor applications in the business areas of Law, Risk Management and Public Affairs as well as IIS, and Active Directory is a plus.* - The selected candidate should have at least one year of project management activities - requirements analysis and project communication so the relevant stakeholders and members are aware of project status, scope changes, risks, and issues. - The position requires the candidate to achieve a high level understanding of the application portfolio, the computing infrastructures, and other IT organizations required to support the application portfolio. *Technical skills:* - SSRS, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages - SQL Server 2008-2012 - *Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio 2012 and Microsoft .NET framework, ASP.Net, Web Services, XML, Data Transformation Services* - *Developing Single Page Web Applications using HTML 5, JavaScript/JQuery, CSS 3, Angular.js* - Telerik client-side and server-side components - *.NET Framework 4.x (VB.NET <http://VB.NET> and C#.NET), ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET> MVC 4.x* - Model View Controller/REST architectures, XML, Web Services and Web API - Microsoft SharePoint, MS Project and MS Office - Data Modeling and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) *Nice to Have:* - Any experience with the following technologies is a plus, but not specifically required: Oracle databases, Bootstrap, CSS Frameworks, Responsive Web Designs, Microsoft SharePoint, Classic ASP, and any automated testing tools.
